Jon Myles

M. Env. Sc.

President

Jonathon Myles has extensive experience developing and executing Environmental Management Programs for oil and gas companies. He has more than 25 years of experience conducting assessments for a wide range of acquisitions, divestitures and liability determinations, including sour gas plants, extraction plants, compressor stations, batteries, pipeline operations, and waste management facilities. His strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements has allowed Jon to develop and manage effective Environmental Management Programs to exceed industry standards. His experience in developing emergency response programs, managing remediation programs, and designing and executing auditing programs has allowed him to evaluate the effectiveness of Environmental Management System implementation. His Canadian and international experience in other fields including forestry, chemical, and municipal systems has greatly complimented his upstream experience. Jonathon has played key roles as a manager of all aspects of environmental programs in growing Oil and Gas Companies to meet key environmental objectives and ensure high levels of corporate compliance.


Adam Lazenby

BSc., Civil Eng., P. Eng

Project Manager

Adam has been involved in over 300 environmental related projects with WEI. He is actively managing and assisting with liability assessments, waste management services, and regulatory and environmental compliance audits. Adam also develops emergency management programs and conducts emergency training exercises. Adam has completed the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) ISO 14001: Lead Auditor Course. Adam is a Professional Engineer under the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).


Jesse Baty

BSc., Geology and Environmental Geology, GIT

Project Manager, Waste Management Coordinator

Since joining WEI in 2012, Jesse has been involved in more than 250 environmental related projects. He is actively involved in all waste-related projects and managing and assisting with liability assessments, environmental audits, and emergency response training at WEI. Jesse is currently registered as a Geoscientist in Training (GIT) under APEGA and is an Environmental Professional in Training through EcoCanada specializing in Waste Management and Site Assessment and Reclamation. Jesse has completed the ANSI -ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) ISO 14001: Lead Auditor Course.


Chuck Ames

BA., Environmental Studies, EPt

Project Manager

Chuck has over a decade of experience in environmental assessments and audits, emergency response planning and training, and facilitating environmental management systems for the petroleum industry. Chuck is involved in all aspects of WEI’s project portfolio, with recent work spanning assessments of oilfield waste management facilities, emergency response plans for sour gas and cavern storage operations, acquisition-related liability assessments of upstream oil and gas assets and environmental regulatory tracking. Chuck is a Canadian Environmental Professional in Training (EPt). Chuck has completed the ANSI -ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB) ISO 14001: Lead Auditor Course.


Kaylen Velting

B. Applied Sc., Environmental Science, ATT

Project Manager

Kaylen Velting is involved in developing and leading Environmental Management Programs at Wotherspoon Environmental (WEI). Kaylen has managed over 200 projects with WEI, these have included environmental liability assessments, site assessments, environmental audits, and waste management facility audits at WEI. Kaylen has a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, which allows him to lead multiple environmental management programs for WEI. Kaylen leads emergency response programs at WEI, including emergency response plan development and training at energy facilities. Kaylen has a Bachelor of Applied Science – Environmental Science degree from the University of Mount Royal.
